Port Grimaud
Port Grimaud was registered in the Twentieth Century Architectural Heritage in 2002. The lakeside town lies at the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
This small village faces the sea and is distinguished by its colourful facades and Roman roof tiles. The interesting feature of Port Grimaud is that each house has land and sea access. This was the original design around the principle that each house should have its own mooring.
Opposite Port Grimaud are the Marines de Cogolin. These two ports are separated by the Giscle river which flows from the Var into the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Marines de Cogolin is a private marina, spread over 3 large lagoons that also includes five islands of residential property. Spoil yourselves and spend a pleasant day on a VanDutch charter boat in the Bay of Saint-Tropez and visit Port Grimaud and cruise around the canals that surround the village. Go on, you know you want to Cruising time between the Port Camille Rayon in Golfe-Juan and Port Grimaud: 45 minutes to 1 hour.
